You are here: Cars > Translogic > TRANSLOGIC 114: Water-Powered FlyBoard

We've shown you a water-powered jetpack, but the Flyboard from Zapata Racing transforms its user into more of an aquatic Iron Man, with water-powered thrusters at both your hands and feet. Riders can either propel themselves through the air or dive below the surface of the water, providing plenty of potential for unique tricks. Watch as our own Bradley Hasemeyer gives it a try (and stay tuned for the outtakes following the episode!)

I cannot believe the number of negative comments about a new sport. Everyone acts like you don't get injuries driving a car, water skiing, wakeboarding, paragliding, parachuting, surfing or taking a shower! Seriously people, until you learn about the sport don't knock it. You must take a training class to own it, it is more than just going around in circles, our guys have logged hundreds of hours and still have a blast on it. It is not for everyone, just as most sports.

It is all fun and games till you crash into your own jetski and damage both you and your 10k jetski. What do you say as to why your not going to work monday morning? Ahh...I can't come in cause I fell onto my jetski while flying over the lake.

I watch FREE broadcast, over the air HDTV. It seems that many of the stations have "ambulance chaser lawyers" as sponsors for their programs. If Skechers can be sued for designing a training shoe that causes a few people to twist their ankles; the ambulance chaser lawyers will be following each sale of these flyboards going out the door, as a lawsuit waiting to happen.

And when a user makes a wrong turn and shoots right down into the Jet Ski head first? Fail.
