That is not a flying car. A flying car has NEVER been made.
That is a plane with fold up wings. That is all it is.
Show me a car that sprouts wings and a tail and THEN you will have a flying car.

everybody is going on about inexperienced people flying and the danger to other pilots. Agree.. however, lets not forget about the idiots that HAVE pilots license and THINK they are stunt pilots. If the FAA feels that more training is required than the 20 hours of sport license, I'm sure that appropriate laws will be passed.

They didn't hit on one of the things that might make some private pilots look into this vehicle further which is no need for hangar space and fees, you just drive it home and park it in your garage.

There probably is a definite market nitch for this type of car/aircraft, however it wouldn't bypass road traffic jams. If everyone took to the sky, there would be traffic jams there, just as there are around airports now.
Possibly with automated pilots, it could be flown safely, but probably not in crowded airspace.
Probably cars have just as much development ahead as airplanes.
They are both pretty mature technologies, the first airplane (Wright brothers) in 1903 and the first autos, or self propelled carriages around 1890 or 1900, possibly around 1880, I really don't know the details of the history, although the first airplanes were pretty much self propelled kites.

THE CAR AND THE ARIPLANE TOGETTER YOU WOULD NEED TO HAVE A LICENSE FOR BOTH.AND TO OBAY THE AIR.IF IT EVER COMES OUT WITH IT.

Neat car/plane but not a new idea. I recall the first ones in the 1950's. Later we used to see one putting around near the Burbank airport. It bore no more similarity to this bird than a 1950's De Soto does to a new Ford, etc. The only thing I notice is that there still isn't a really novel way to store the wings when on the ground. I hope this vehicle is succesful.

How about training these guys in airspace rules and safety - like running out of fuel - the primary cause of light aircraft accidents.

I like the car like safety features...no excuse for other companies (Cessna, Piper, etc.) not doing this!
